(Pics unavailable, the food is in my belly already) I stopped by while shopping downtown because I had a craving for gumbo. I got the Combo gumbo, Fried pork chops and a side of jambalaya. The gumbo- delish. the roux is dark but i was missing the okra to give it that extra soupiness. Fried pork chops were seasoned and fried to perfection, but the jambalaya was extremely underwhelming. very much a box recipe with the gumbo meats mixed in.Environment was quiet. It was midday Tuesday so it makes sense. Very calm and mostly quiet. Custy service is alright, the order was taken and food given.Overall, I would definitely go back and try some of their other foods. The smothered oxtails looked tempting and they’re hard to find usually. I saw they have NOLA prailine bars like my aunty used to make but i only like hers so i was hesitant to try this time lol. Next time for sure!!! Thanks yall!

We visited houston for a birthday trip and came 3 separate times while we were here. Everything 10/10! they are so nice and welcoming here, on top of great customer service, the food is phenomenal and very reasonably priced. They give nice portions as well. We ordered seafood gumbo, catfish and shrimppo boys. came back for breakfast, it was just so tasty. i will be coming back when i return to houston

We ate here on Christmas Day. Food was delicious. We had the seafood gumbo and lemon pepper chicken fingers. Gumbo was great and the chicken was the absolute best. Juicy, full of flavor, hot and fresh. Service was quick and friendly, even in the middle of the Christmas Day rush. We will back!

We went right before it closed at 2am and the food was delicious! The cashier was super nice to us. Our food was soo good we wanted to go back the next day. The loaded beignets tasted better than going to the real NOLA.
